The Blessed Virgin Mary, Chedzoy
We are a traditional, rural village Church located in the heart of the Somerset Levels. Church life is well supported by an active team of volunteers. Services are held every Sunday and whether you live locally or are a visitor to the area you will be given a warm welcome.

The first mention of a Church in Chedzoy was in 1166 and by 1343 it had been dedicated to St. Mary the Virgin. The arcades and north aisle are early 13th century; the south aisle was widened in the 14th century.The tower was added in the early 16th century together with the porch, the clerestory, the arch into the north transept, and the windows in the north aisle. The chancel was rebuilt in 1884.

A celebration of Holy Communion with hymns and a sermon. When there is a fifth Sunday in a month, our service is held alternately at Chedzoy or Westonzoyland. Please see the "Other Events" section for details of where the next service will be held.

A relaxed, informal Family Service with hymns and a sermon.

"Wedding Belles" for St. Mary's Church Bells (2nd - 4th May)
We are planning a Wedding Exhibition with dresses, wedding memorabilia and flowers, and hope to have items from as many decades as possible for display. The Exhibition will run from 2nd - 4th May and is held to raise funds for the restoration of our Church bells. If you have anything that you would be prepared to loan for the Exhibition please contact us. The Exhibition opens on:-
