St Helen's Church is situated by the river in the centre of Abingdon, an extraordinary building which has been actively used for many centuries. We are a broad and progressive church with good facilities for children and a large choir.

Preschool Nativity Play
Everyone is welcome to join St Helen's Baby and Toddler Group's Christmas Celebration. Bring your little one dressed as a shepherd or angel and take part in our Nativity Story. Followed by music, teas and a chance to meet our lovely donkey. This is a FREE event for accompanied children with a collection for the Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary. - Very popular - Please allow extra time for parking -

A short service of Biblical prayer and praise, exploring the rich tradition of Christian chant, and featuring creative engagement with Scripture through discussion, imagination, contemplation, music, and the visual arts.

Choral Evensong
Choral Evensong is sung by St Helen's choir on the third Sunday of the month. Very occasionally there is a simple Sung Evensong instead.

Remembrance Sunday Service
Civic Service of Remembrance for those who have died for their country. Followed by procession of civic dignitaries and uniformed groups to the War Memorial. NOTE there is no Service at 10.30am and the evening service at 17.30 is a Sung Eucharist.

Christingle Service
A very popular Christmas Eve Service for everyone, and particularly families. It includes the blessing of the Crib. A collection is taken for 'The Children's Society' Doors open from 15.45 We recommend you allow extra time for parking, if necessary. Please advise us if you are coming with a wheelchair user, so that we can reserve a space.
