St Paul's Accrington

Welcome to Accrington St Paul. We are now a joint Parish with Baxenden St John. Services are held at St Paul's at 9am and St John's at 10.30am. Where there is a 5th Sunday there will be a joint service at 10am. The location will alternate between St Paul's and St John's. Refreshments are usually served after the services. Children's church takes place during the services except on the first Sunday of the month (from January 2023) when both churches have an All-Age Service.

We are learning to work together for the benefit of our community; and to grow closer to God as we develop our prayer life and discipleship.

We welcome ALL of ANY age, those with a lot of church background, those with some background and especially those with none! Our prayer and desire is that, whoever you are and wherever you are up to in life, we can help you meet with the Living and Loving God. We hope our services will help you pray to Him, praise Him, share with Him, listen to Him and seek to live for Him. If you have questions about Jesus, Christianity, or are a new Christian, we would love to help you. If you would like to get more involved, please contact us

Safeguarding

The parish of Baxenden: St John and Accrington St Paul is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO. The current PSO is Heather Pitman - Telephone 07921237592 [email protected]

The Diocese of Blackburn’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
