Welcome Leaflet
Worship - Our Sunday service starts at 9.30am. A Parade and Family service without communion is held on the first Sunday of the month. On the other Sundays there is Parish Eucharist and Sunday School. Each Wednesday at 10.15am there is a said communion based on the book of common Prayer. Home communions for the housebound are also available.
Study Sessions - There is a monthly Bible study and a Lenten study course both of which are held in church.
Baptisms - these are usually held after the Sunday service and must be booked well in advance.
Sunday School - we meet weekly at 9.15am. There is also a creche for babies and toddlers. All are welcomed into the church service during the Peace. The Sunday School plays a big part in the life of our church. We have various events to raise money for different charities. We take an active part in the family service through readings, drama and prayers. We also hold three special annual events which all the children take part in. These are the 'Crowning of the Rose Queen' , the 'Christingle service' and the 'Nativity'.
Choir - we have a choir that sings for all services including weddings and funerals if requested. We offer a warm welcome to anyone who would like to join us. An ability to read music is helpful but not essential.
Mums and Toddlers - meet in the Institute Wednesday 1.30pm to 2.30pm
Mothers Union - our branch of the Mothers Union, which is a worldwide Christian organisation, meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm. Any lady of any age can be a member. What do we do? Well we try to involve our members in the life of our church and Sunday School. We also help at the Mums and Toddlers. We have interesting speakers, go on trips, learn about other countries through our branch link in South Africa. We visit the sick and those who just want a chat or need someone to listen.
Keep Fit - we meet on Monday at 8pm in the Institute. There is a very friendly atmosphere with plenty of laughs along with the excercise.
