We form part of the Anglican Parish of Nerja and Almuñécar. Our parish straddles the two Andalusian provinces of Malaga and Granada.
The Capilla de Nuestra Señora del Carmen is a chapel on the west of the town, looked after by a group of nuns. It is thanks to these nuns, and the Roman Catholic priest and his congregation, that the local Anglicans are able to meet here each Sunday for a service. After the service it is a short walk to the Hotel Chinasol on the Paseo de Cotobro where we meet up for a coffee.
The Parish supports two local charities: Caritas and the sisters of the Good Samaritans. In order to do this there are many fund-raising and social events, and we hold a stall at the monthly Rastro in Almuñecar and have a Charity Shop and Centre in Calle Malaga, Nerja.
The shop is open 10am – 1.30pm six days a week. Tel: 95 252 2460.
A service of Holy Communion is held here each Wednesday at 9.30am.
During May times of services at the Chapel change to the later time of 10.30am
