In 1898, St John’s church was constructed from two cottages, built in 1635,one of which was the home of our local Dick Whittington, Sir William Craven. The oak pews were made by Thompson of Kilburn in 1946. Look for the carved mice!
The church is attractive for its simple, functional style.
It is a 'chapel of ease' in the parish of Burnsall.
