The Church building is 160 years old but was
gutted by fire in 1987. The rebuilt interior is
modern within the original walls.

We are a small congregation of around 60 with a
typical service attracting up to 40 people.

We are one of the two churches in the Parish of
Newsome & Armitage Bridge, a member of Newsome
Local Ecumenical Partnership with Newsome South
Methodist Church, and of the Emmanuel Team
Ministry.

Through Wakefield Diocese we have links with the
village of Sokorabolo in Tanzania. In 2008 a
member of the congregation visited the village and
in October 2009 we had a return visit from Margret
of Sokorabolo
