St Peter’s church is a very large church situated on a roundabout visible to all as they enter Ashton. It is known locally as the ‘Gateway to Ashton’. St Peter’s is a very friendly, informal, flexible church where worship is modern, open and live. The non-judgemental church congregation come together to worship God, to support each other and the local community. The congregation are there to serve the local community and feel that the church building and all that goes on in the church is aimed at being a visible presence in the West End of Ashton which is an area of great deprivation. The congregation are adaptable to new ideas and believe in having freedom to choose forms of worship and ways of working.
