St. Mary's Ashwell is a bustling village church which is at the heart of the community. Its tower dominates the whole of the village and the surrounding countryside and is the iconic centre of the village. We have a long standing choral tradition and a music festival that has been running for over fifty years. St Mary's is famous for its Medieval graffiti. This can be found all around the church but the most impressive can be found at the base of the tower, and around the pillars. Do Look at our website to have fun decoding the graffiti and looking around our church.
