We are a member of the Diocese in Europe. Our church, St Leonard's, is of medieval origin and kindly loaned to us by the Roman Catholic Bishop of Assisi. The only regular services held in the church are for the weekly Anglican Eucharist.
The core congregation is not large. However, we believe our role is to provide spiritual support and a place to worship for all pilgrims and visitors to Assisi. Therefore, our congregations are very variable in size and origin.
All are welcome to attend the services, and those who are baptised and communicants in their own Christian and Trinitarian denominations are welcome to receive Holy Communion. Our weekly eucharist is every Sunday at 11.00. There are other services and prayers so please check the SERVICES AND EVENTS on this web site for full details.
Whilst it is not possible to carry out wedding services, due to Italian laws requiring a civil wedding, we can provide Matrimonial Blessings within our church or other external locations.
The church is small but the welcome is BIG!!!
We usually also provide a tourist overview of the history of our church following the service.
Our current priest in charge is Rev'd Bernard Joy and he will be with us until 31 August 2016.
From 1 September until 30 September Rev'd Andrew Tuck will be leading our services. His wife Angela will be with him.
From 1 October until 31 October Fr Andrew Mayes will be leading our worship.
In November Rev'd Paul Duffett will be leading us.
In December we will have a new priest in charge. The Rev'd Tim Daplyn will lead us through Christmas and into the New Year.He will be with us until the end of February 2017.
