St. Helen's is a welcoming and friendly church that stands within the Catholic wing of the Church of England. The church is active both in its worship of God and its outreach into the community.

Many community groups use the church's facilities. The Oscar Romero center is based in the narthex at the west-end of the church. Locals can seek advice from trained workers for anything from work prospects to debt advice. Athersley Cares is based in the church hall.

Many children and adults are baptised (christened) and many couples are married in St. Helen's throughout the year. If you are interested in these sacraments then please contact the Vicar.

On days of obligation Mass is celebrated at 10am & 7pm.

Vicar: The Rev'd Canon Rodney Henry Marshall
