St Andrew's Church in Attlebridge has been closed since May 2006, when we discovered that the roof was in far worse condition than we thought, and both our architect and the Archdeacon advised us to close the building at once on Health & Safety grounds. The repair work, largely funded by English Heritage, will be complete by Christmas 2008, and we have taken the opportunity of closure to do some re-ordering to the interior of the building as well. It is expected that the building will be in regular use for worship again from the start of Lent 2009, and the Bishop of Norwich is presiding at a special rededication service at 10:00 am on Sunday 26th April.
