St Helena’s is a small very historic church building. The present church building dates from Norman times, but has links with the Austerfield Synod of 702AD. Later, William Bradford, the first governor of Massachusetts was baptised here.
A small congregation now meets on the first and third Sunday at 11.15am and in summer at 8.30 am on the 2nd and fourth Sunday in summer. The church is closely linked with St Nicholas Bawtry.
We can't display parish boundaries at the moment. We'll put them back as soon as possible.
