St Giles is the small, friendly parish church of the village of Barlestone. You are very welcome to all our services. You can make enquiries about Weddings and Bapstims through this website.

We try to be a church which reflects and celebrates the community it belongs to.

We gather at 10.30 each Sunday morning and provide a range of biblical, accessible and contemporary worship.

Each month begins with Breakfast at 9.30 before we go into the church building for worship followed by activities for various groups.

Communion is celebrated on the second and fourth Sundays, sometimes gathering around a table in the nave.

Third Sundays are developing a participatory lay led style and if the month has a fifth Sunday we have "desert Island Hymns where someone is asked in advance to choose their favourite hymns and songs, sharing how they have been part of their faith journey.

We believe that individuals matter so we try to personalise baptisms, weddings and funerals to serve the needs of those who come.

Church Together in Barlestone brings together those who worship at St Giles, the Baptist and Elohim Christian Church. We actively believe in one church that allows for diversity in worship.

Revd. John Downs who  looks after St Giles has lived in the village for over 30  years , now as a retired biology lecturer and for many years a non stipendiary minister,
