On 1st February, 2009 the three parishes of Barrow Gurney, Flax Bourton and Long Ashton came together as one benefice, whilst each retaining their individuality and own PCCs. With the creation of the new benefice Revd Ann Sargent became our Rector, Revd Richard Greatrex continues as Associate Priest, with primary responsibility for Flax and Barrow, and the readers of the three parishes are Peter Barnes, Jill Watkins and Peter Crawford.

Family Communion
Held on 'even' dates in Barrow Gurney church, with Sunday School (in the vestry). A mix of old and new music and friendly atmosphere. Followed by refreshments. On the fourth Sunday of the month we have a Two-Stage All-Age Service which is designed for families with younger children. There is a break after the first part of the service when we have refreshments and people are free to leave if they do not wish to stay on for holy communion.
Note - services are shared between Flax Bourton and Barrow Gurney churches. On even dates the services are held in Barrow Gurney and on odd dates, in Flax Bourton church, on the A370. Sunday school only in Barrow Gurney church at the present time. Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour
