St. James' has a long and much loved relationship in the community it serves. It is a majestic building which dominates the local skyline. Inside we are a warm and welcoming community of faith. We strive to offer to God the very best we can in our liturgy and we are proud of our long choral tradition and orthodox churchmanship.

During Term time. every Friday at 3:45 PM for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Our main Parish Sung Eucharist with Choir.

Every Sunday at 10:30 AM for 1 hour

A quiet said service
This service alternates each week between St James' and St Matthew's. Check location on our website before travelling. every second and fourth Sunday at 8:00 AM for ½ hour

Sung Communion
Our main Parish Sung Eucharist with Choir.

Choral Evensong
A traditonal service from the Book of Common Prayer
Every first Sunday at 6:30 PM for 50 minutes

Sung Evensong
A sung service of BCP Evensong.
Every second third and fourth Sunday at 6:30 PM for 40 minutes

Wednesday

Holy Communion
A quiet said service of Holy Communion.
Every Wednesday at 10:00 AM for ½ hour

MU Meeting
A meeting of the St James' branch of the Mother's Union. (In the Carey room).
Every first Wednesday at 7:30 PM for 1½ hours

Thursday

Craft Club
A craftwork group. Helpful ideas and tuition in card making, needlework and other crafts. Tea and chat.
Meets during school term time. every Thursday at 1:30 PM for 2 hours

Choir Practice
Church Choir rehearsal. In the Hope Room. New members welcome.
Every Thursday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
