Saint Mary's is the only Anglican church in the town currently used for public worship. The other, Saint Peter's, is a grade I-listed monument in the care of English Heritage. The active membership at present covers a very broad spectrum of churchmanship. There is a Vicar, two assistant priests, a Reader, a Local Ministry Team of six and a choir of men's, women's and childrens' voices. There are three services each Sunday and one each on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We welcome visitors and the mediaeval church building is open daily. For further information, please visit our web site.
