We are a friendly, welcoming church tucked in between Penge and Beckenham on Ravenscroft Road BR3. Saint Michael's has always been in the Catholic tradition in the Church of England, and we hope that we combine a 'traditional' theology with a modern but dignified style of worship. Our former Vicar, Father Christopher Smith, has moved to be Vicar of St Alban's, Holborn in London Diocese, and we are currently awaiting the appointment of a new priest. During the vacancy, we are only able to have one Mass on Sundays (at 10.30), and a Mass at 10.30 on most Thursdays. Sunday School continues to meet at 10.30 on Sundays in the narthex of the church. Anybody wanting to talk about baptism (Christening) or marriage or the reading of banns of marriage should come and see one of the Churchwardens after Mass on any Sunday.
We also place great store by our social life together, and every month sees us getting together for a meal, a quiz, bingo, a barbecue, a sing-along, or pilgrimages and away-days. This year, our children's funday will be on Saturday 26th June.

Sunday
Our Sunday service is at 10.30 am. Visitors are always made welcome, and everyone is welcome to stay afterwards for a cup of coffee and a natter. Don't worry about bringing the children: there are always some around, and usually a collection of parked pushchairs! There is also a Mass on Thursday.
Every Sunday at 10:30 AM
Thursday
During the Interregnum, we hope to continue one weekday Mass, on Thursdays at 10.30am. Mass is celebrated daily at our neighbouring parish of St James, Elmers End.
Every Thursday at 10:30 AM
