We are a friendly, inclusive Anglo-Catholic all-age congregation in the town centre of Bedford. We have an excellent choir of children and adults and offer fine choral and liturgical worship in the English cathedral tradition. An All-Age Eucharist especially for families is offered on the first Sunday of the month. Cathedral style Choral Evensong is offered twice a month and Address and Compline or Evening Prayer on other Sundays.
The large medieval and later church of cathedral proportions and iconic spire dominates the town, and exercises a ministry of welcome to thousands of visitors and pilgrims from far and wide each year. This beautiful church is open each day of the week between 10am and 4pm. All are welcome.
As well as serving a diverse parish and ministering to a congregation of all ages, St Paul's is today the Civic Church of the Borough of Bedford and the County of Bedfordshire; it is a focus for special commemorations and celebrations in the borough, county, and the wider region of the East Midlands and the East of England, as well as being a central venue for concerts, recitals and exhibitions.
St Paul's is a Fairtrade church.
