This service alternates month by month between Common Worship Holy Communion and a more informal service of the word we call Morning Worship. This is a friendly, informal and welcoming service without Holy Communion. We sit together at small tables, rather than in the pews, so it is easy to attend for both families with young children as well as people on their own. You will be welcomed with fresh coffee and a selection of cakes and pastries. The Minister is not robed. The songs or hymns in the service are accompanied by guitar or with music played on a CD. There will be a short interactive talk and you are welcome to join in with this but only if you wish to. There will also be related activities for children and toys and books are available for them in the Children's Corner as well.

Matins or Morning Worship - Boxford, Sudbury Boxford, St Mary
This fourth Sunday service alternates between the familiar morning service of Matins set in the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer, which is held on even numbered months, and a more informal non-eucharistic service of Morning Worhship using the liturgy of Common Worship, which is held on odd numbered months. Our Choir leads the singing and there is a sermon. The service is followed by refreshments in the Church.

This is a short informal service said in the modern language of Common Worship. It is held in the church owned Mary's House in Swan Street just round the corner from the Post Office. The service is in the form of a group gathered together around a table in the comfortable surroundings of a domestic sitting room. The service is followed by refreshments served in the room.

Five Villages Service with Communion - Groton, Sudbury Groton, St Bartholomew
Sunday 29th October 2017 at 10:00 AM for 1 hour
On each fifth Sunday the Benefice always holds a single service of Holy Communion for all the parishes at each of the five churches in turn. If this is not at your own parish church, please come and swell the numbers and use the opportunity to join the regular congregation and worship as a benefice united in body and spirit in the service our lord God. You will welcomed by members of your neighbouring church and it will give you a chance to catch up with old friends and perhaps make some new ones.

An East Anglian Miscellany - Boxford, Sudbury Boxford, St Mary
Sunday 29th October 2017 at 7:00 PM for 1½ hours
This is an evening of poetry and music with poems about the people, places and nature of East Anglia. Mervyn Linford will read his own poems and original songs and music will be provided by The Limericks, with Colin Whyles playing piano, guitar and concertina and vocals by Amanda Goosby and Colin. Entry on the door at £10 per person, which includes cheese, wine and nibbles. All proceeds go to the church funds.
Remembering Our Loved Ones - Boxford, Sudbury Boxford, St Mary
Sunday 5th November 2017 at 4:00 PM for 1 hour
This is a candlelit service of remembrance and thanksgiving in celebration of the lives of those who we have loved and have died. The Service will consist of prayers and readings and there will be periods of silence for private and personal reflection. There will also be an opportunity to light a candle as a symbol of our undying love for those dear departed who were special in our hearts. Please contact Revd. Remembrance Service at the War Memorial - Edwardstone, Sudbury Edwardstone, St Mary the Virgin

This service is held at the War Memorial on a small triangular green about half a mile to the east of the Church. We hold the traditional solemn two minute silence at 11:00 a.m. after the reading of the Roll of Honour. As well as those whose names appear on the Roll of Honour we will have in our minds all those who have laid down their lives in all wars and conflicts in the service of this country.
Remembrance Holy Communion Service - Newton Green, Sudbury Newton, All Saints
Sunday 12th November 2017 at 9:30 AM for 1 hour
This is a service of Holy Communion incorporating a reflection on the sacrifice of those who lay down their own lives so that others may live and prosper in peace. After this service we move to the War Memorial on the Village Green, about half a mile away, for the traditional short service of Remembrance including the reading of the Roll of Honour.

Remembrance Service - Boxford, Sudbury Boxford, St Mary

This is a parade service with representatives of the Armed Forces and other uniformed organisations in attendance. We start at the Boxford War Memorial on the north side of the churchyard at 10:50 a.m. and hold the traditional solemn two minute silence at 11:00 a.m. after the reading of the Roll of Honour. As well as those whose names appear on the Roll of Honour we will have in our minds all those who have given their lives in the service of this country in all wars and conflicts.
Sunday 12th November 2017 at 10:50 AM for 1 hour
This service is held on the small triangular green just to the south of the Church on which is an ancient 'Sarson' stone serving as a general memorial to all from the village who have given their lives in the service of this country in all wars and conflicts. The names of those who fell in the two World Wars appear on a tablet in the Church porch. We hold the traditional solemn two minute silence at 11:00 a.m. after the reading of the Roll of Honour. As well as those whose names appear on the Roll of Honour we will have in our minds all those who are represented by this simple enduring stone.
Remembrance Service at the War Memorial - Newton Green, Sudbury Newton, All Saints

We hold the traditional solemn two minute silence at 11:00 a.m. after the reading of the Roll of Honour. As well as those whose names appear on the Roll of Honour we will have in our minds all those who have laid down their lives in all wars and conflicts in the service of this country.
