Sunday worship at St Helen's is made up of a quiet service of Holy Communion at 8.30 am using the 1662 Prayer Book and a Parish Communion using Common Worship at 10 am with hymns and choir.  There is a Sunday Club for school age children called FrOGs (Friends of God) during this service and a children's corner at the back of church for pre-school children.  There is also a children's choir.  On the third sunday of the month there is a Eucharist for the Whole Family of God in which the children take part and the church orchestra accompanies the congregation.  Refreshments are served for everyone in the Canons' Room after the 10 am service every sunday. Details of other services and events can be found on the right of this page along with a short history of the church.

Information about those buried in the main churchyard and the new churchyard on the other side of Church Road can be found using the documents on the right hand side of this page.  Please note that whilst records may indicate the names of those buried in the churchyard, not all graves are marked with monuments.

Music at St Helen's Church

Over the coming months there are a few musical events taking place in church.  The St James Singers will be giving a concert of sacred and secular music spanning 12 centuries entitled "Atlantic Bridge" on 14th March, Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater" will be performed on Palm Sunday and all comers are invited to take part in a workshop and performance of Vivaldi's Gloria on 25th April.  Further details are available via the links on the side and the Calendar.
