Sunday worship at St Helen's is made up of a quiet service of Holy Communion at 8.30 am using the 1662 Prayer Book and a Parish Communion using Common Worship at 10 am with hymns and choir.  There is a Sunday Club for school age children called FrOGs (Friends of God) during this service and a children's corner at the back of church for pre-school children.  There is also a children's choir.  On the third sunday of the month there is a Eucharist for the Whole Family of God in which the children take part and the church orchestra accompanies the congregation.  Refreshments are served for everyone in the Canons' Room after the 10 am service every sunday. Details of other services and events can be found on the right of this page along with a short history of the church.

If you are planning to visit St Helen's and would like a look inside before you come, open the link to Church Interior on the right of this page for a panorama filmed last Eastertide.

Information about those buried in the main churchyard and the new churchyard on the other side of Church Road can be found using the documents on the right hand side of this page.  Please note that whilst records may indicate the names of those buried in the churchyard, not all graves are marked with monuments.

Music at St Helen's Church

Over the coming months there are a few musical events taking place in church.  Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater" will be performed on Palm Sunday and all comers are invited to take part in a workshop and performance of Vivaldi's Gloria on 25th April.  Further details are available via the links on the side and the Calendar.

Young People at St Helen's Church

A new group for 13-18 year olds will hold its first meeting on Sunday 26 April at 7pm in The Canons' Room behind the church. Further details are available via the link on the right of this page.
