Holy Trinity Bincombe is one of those little gems of an an English Church that is to be found 'in the middle of nowhere and in a farmyard'. In a very peaceful setting and right on the Dorset Coastal Path, our Church has seen a lot of history outside its ancient walls. From around here, the Grand Old Duke of York marched his ten thousand men to the top of Bincombe bumps - and yes, he marched them down again. From his army defending the area against Napoleon two deserters were shot. (See our main website).
We meet for worship at 9.15am on most Sunday mornings and although our numbers are few the singing is always great due to the fantastic acoustics in the Church. We always enjoy welcoming visitors and our services are easy to follow with traditional hymns sung to a traditional organ.
The church is open during the daytime and in the summer we usually provide water for those who are thirsty on their journey through this lovely part of Dorset. The Churchyard sheep are quite placid!
