The church of St John the Baptist, Bisbrooke will be closed for refurbishment from 15th April 2009. The work will take three months to complete and the church is scheduled to reopen in late July.
Whilst the church is closed, Bisbrooke is to join with Glaston for church services, details of which can be found in the monthly benefice newsletter and on these pages. Should you have any problems in getting to Glaston, please contact either John Price (Churchwarden) on 823201 or Jane Baxter (Priest in Charge) on 822717.
The whole of the churchyard and church car park will also be closed as considerable ground works have to be carried out for the ground source heating system. Should you wish to visit the churchyard then please contact John Price on the number above to make arrangements. For the duration of the work, an archaeologist will be on site to monitor proceedings and it is possible that we will find the footprint of the original medieval church. Please be assured that the work in the churchyard will not affect any of the graves.
For all other matters during the period of closure, please contact the Revd Jane Baxter on the telephone number given above or by email through these pages.
