The Church of The Good Shepherd was built in 1967, to serve
the population in the north of the parish of Lamorbey, Holy
Redeemer. It flourished for a number of years, but then declined,
until in the late 1980s the decision was made to cease
worshipping there on Sundays, and unite the congregations at
The Holy Redeemer. Sadly the majority of the folk at The Good
Shepherd chose to worship elsewhere.
A number of efforts have been made since 1990 to restore
regular worship at The Good Shepherd, all to no avail.
However, it continues to serve the local people as a community
hall, with a variety of activities, including Pre-School Playgroup
and dance clubs. It is also available for casual hire.
