Church End in Bledlow is a conservation area with many interesting buildings. The church was built mainly during the 12th and 13th centuries, and remains largely unaltered. The prominent tower houses eight bells.
Enter through the south porch and the oldest working doors in Buckinghamshire, with strap hinges and a draw door. Four steep steps descend to the nave, which is dominated by six massive pillars dating from 1200, each with a different foliage pattern at the top. Look out for the Norman font in the Aylesbury style, and the recently conserved medieval wall paintings and 16th century texts. The windows contain some very good Victorian stained glass, and there is some attractive modern needlework.
This church is a gem and has featured in the television detective series Midsomer Murders and Miss Marple, together with the film The Four Feathers.
If you would like to get more involved in helping to maintain Holy Trinity Church we would be delighted to hear from you.
There are many ways in which help would be very welcome indeed.
Bell Ringing
Holy Trinity has eight bells that are rung at present on the first Sunday of each month and for special services. Bell ringers are very friendly people and would very much welcome anyone who would like to try their hand at ringing!!
Flower Arranging
There are a team of ladies who arrange flowers for the church on a rota basis. If you love arranging flowers and would like to enquire about adding your name to the rota please contact Julia Bratt on 01844 345775 who would be delighted to speak with you.
Church Cleaning
Holy Trinity is cleaned every week by a team of volunteers. Usually two people together clean the church for two consecutive weeks approximately three times a year. The brasses are cleaned monthly and usually two people together clean the brass-ware once a year.
If you would like to add your name to the rota for either of these activities please contact Ann Beaton, Churchwarden, on 01844 343832 for further details.
Ladies Lunch
On the first Wednesday of each month the ladies of the parish get together at The Lions in Bledlow at 12 noon for a social gathering and a bit to eat! If you would like to join us, please come along and introduce yourself.

Open Saturday and Sunday afternoons from Easter to October. Other times – details of key-holders are displayed in the church porch.
