The church site has had a place of worship since 11th Century and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. Architecture is partially Norman with some fine stained glass, ancient and modern.
Ther are many artefacts concerning the Bagot family whose seat is Blithfield Hall, next to the church. Wooden pews are 400 years old. The church flooring comprises ceramic tiling and is unusual in that there is a step down from the nave to the chancel. There is a carved Rood Screen.
There is a fine pipe organ, overhauled, modernised and enlarged in 1964.
Peal of six bells.
