St James’ Old Lane is part of the Church of England’s team for Bloxwich. Our building is a nice compact chapel, without pews and which is also used midweek for children. On Sundays a fairly small congregation meet, but we have the full range of ages including children’s activities integrated with our 11am Sunday service. Our worship has a relaxed and informal atmosphere, and everyone is easily welcomed in. We are able to join with the rest of the Bloxwich team ministry for extra midweek groups and also regular Alpha groups, exploring the meaning of being a Christian. Originally built in 1904, the church was known as Old Lane Mission, but became known as St James in 1991 when it was licensed as a District Church within the Bloxwich Team Ministry.
