St Lawrence Church stands in a beautiful 4.5 acre churchyard in the rural Hertfordshire village of Bovingdon, offering peace, welcome, Christian teaching and worship to all. Our church dates back to at least the 13th century and we are glad to stand at the end of a long tradition of Christian worship and witness at the heart of our community. We strive to bring the Christian faith to all ages. We aim to offer worship and teaching week by week which help people today make sense of life and discover the riches of the Christian gospel.

Holy Communion in Traditonal Language
If you enjoy traditional language worship, this is the service for you. We worship using the Book of Common Prayer (1662)and generally include a short, intersting address. All are welcome at this reflective service of worship.
Every Sunday at 8:00 AM for ¾ hour

Family Praise
30 minutes of worship and and stories from the Bible for families with chidlren under 11. Lots of singing, activities, Bibles stories with pictures on the big screen, child-friendsly, a warm welcome to everyone and refreshments after the service
Every second third fourth and fifth Sunday at 9:30 AM for ½ hour
Family Communion
60 minutes of worship for all the family. This service is child-friendly and we make an effort to give every child an active role. Excellent refreshments follow a service which all ages enjoy, a service filled with action, activity and easy-to-learn songs and prayers.
Every first Sunday at 10:00 AM for 1 hour
Family Friendly creche Coffee
Parish Communion
60 minutes of eucharistic worship with contemporary liturgy and worthwhile hymns and songs. A good sermon is always included. All are welcome, but this service is designed principally for adults. A creche is available and the service is preceded by refreshments from 10.00am.
