Daily Office
Since the days of the Early Church, Christians have gathered together to worship, pray and read the Scriptures. The Daily Offices, sustained in monastic communities and by the clergy, combines these three elements in services that are both simple and enriching. Church of England Clergy, as part of our ordination vows, promise to read these Offices morning and evening. The Clergy of the Knaresborough Team meet each weekday (other than Wednesday when there are regular Communion Services) to say the Office and pray. We warmly invite anyone who wishes to do so, to join us. Each Office lasts a maximum of 30 minutes. We Meet as follows: Monday - 9am in Holy Trinity (first Monday of the month in St Mary's, Goldsborough) Tuesday - 8:30 Holy Communion in the St Edmund Chapel in St John's Church, Knaresborough. Thursday - 9am in Holy Trinity Friday - 9am in the St Edmund Chapel in St John's Church, Knaresborough. Please join us - but remember the church heating will not be on.
