Saint Mary's is the most striking building in Bridgwater and its spire is a landmark that can be seen for miles around. As the Parish Church for the town centre we are liberal catholic in our churchmanship, which means that we focus on the sacraments of Holy Communion and Holy Baptism, and have a robed choir and vestments. Simplicity and respect are hallmarks of our worship.
Since 2002 we have been working on our ten year vision which is :
To develop as a community of the Christian faith.
To be at the heart of the local community.
To serve the wider community of Bridgwater and beyond.
We have formed a range of partnerships with other local organisations including schools, care homes, armed service organisations and the YMCA.
We have an active link with our partner parish in Zambia.
We are seeking to be a community in which all are welcome. We are aiming to transform the interior of the church over the next 2 years to enrich our worship and to forward our mission by having the building widely used by local community groups and organisations.

Sunday
Holy Communion is celebrated using the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.
Every Sunday at 8:00 AM for 40 minutes
In this service we gather to celebrate our life in God, and God’s work in the world, made known to us through Jesus Christ. There are hymns old and new for everyone to sing, and after the service many people stay for a chat over refreshments.
Every Sunday at 9:30 AM for 55 minutes
On the first Sunday of every month at 11.15 am we have Relay! - an informal service for young children and families. There is an activity afterwards for the children, and refreshments.
