Welcome to Caistor St Edmund Church - we are proud of our church, for the simplicity of its architecture, its peaceful environment within the Tas Valley, its place in the history of our village and for its continued Christian vision to our community.
The parish church of St Edmund has been in constant use for over 950 years. The church stands within the walls of the Roman Town of Venta Icenorum, which went out of use some 750 years earlier. It is constructed of uncoursed broken flint with stone and brick dressings under a slate roof and follows the simple pattern of nave, chancel, west tower and south porch. The position of the Church, surrounded as it is by an area of outstanding archaeological interest, and set within the attractive Tas Valley, gives many visitors a great sense of peace and tranquillity.
Caistor Church is part of the Venta Group, other churches in the group are: Stoke Holy Cross, Dunston and Arminghall. If you would like to join us for one of our services in this lovely setting you would be warmly welcomed.
Please visit our web site www.caistorstedmundchurch.co.uk to find out about our forthcoming services and events.
