St John's is a large, friendly church with a broad churchmanship. About 100 years old, it stands on Hills Road just opposite Homerton College.
It has a thriving Sunday School and choir; worship is mainly Common Worship with occasional BCP. There is a family service once a month.
There is a good programme of social events. Clubs include a ramblers' group, youth organizations and others.
The church has modern, purpose-built community rooms which host a variety of local activities as well as church functions.
