St.Peter's is full of history having relatives of Nelson buried in the church.
The congregation ranges from 30-40 people at a Sunday Service. People visiting the church often comment on the beauty of the church and the warm welcome they recieve.
St.Peter's church has a strong relationship with the local Church of England school, St.Peter's Aided C of E Primary school. The family service on the second Sunday of every month is well attended by both pupils, parents and staff and the children take an active role throughout the service.
