There has been worship at this site for over 1,000 years. Anyone visiting the Church to attend a service will be made very welcome. In particular we encourage parents and children of any age. The Church is open to casual visitors every afternoon between 2 pm and 5 pm from 1st May until 30th October. 11th Century wall paintings were recently found in the vestry and there is evidence that the Romans used the site, possibly for military purposes. The PCC is involved in an initiative to increase attendance at Services called "How Do We Grow?". Currently the initiative concentrates on Praise (music - there is a band called Young Saints which performs at some Parish and Benefice Services), Prayer and Pot-Luck Lunches to which non-attenders are invited. "Chet News" is produced 10 times per year and is distributed, free of charge, to every household in Chedgrave, Hardley & Langley. On the R. Chet there are a number of small boatyards and a caravan site serving the Norfolk Broads holiday trade.
