Everyone will find a warm welcome in our church. The church is largely made up of adults, but we are finding that more young people and families are making St Micahel's their spiritual home.

Our desire is that people from whatever background are encouraged to have a living and growing relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

We believe that God continues to speak to us through the Bible - His inspired Word. So Biblically based preaching and teaching forms a central part of our worship and other church activities.

We have a Sunday School and a weekday children's club as well St Michael's Playgroup and Little Angels - a parent and toddler group. Adults are encouraged to join a Home Group and we are also running a Bishop's Certificate Course.

A number of groups from the community use our halls on a regular basis and we are also involved with the local community through our school's work.

Tuesday

Bible Study
Our Parish has, at present, two active Bible Study workshops which run throughout most weeks of the year. One of these is held at St. Michael’s Church, Chell and the other at our second Parish Church: Church of The Saviour, Chell Heath. Both of these groups are held on Tuesday mornings from 10.30 to 12.00 and run on a very friendly informal basis with a pleasant mix of bible study, prayer and fellowship. As well as the more serious stuff there is a social element where members enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits.. New members would be very welcome indeed. If you would like to find out more about these sessions or are thinking of joining then give Revd. Stephen Pratt a call on 01782 826 577 for further details.
These groups do not meet during the summer, Easter and Christmas recesses or when the church is being uses for activities of greater importance. every Tuesday at 10:30 AM for 2 hours
Lunch Club
Our Lunch Club meets on the last Tuesday of every month (except Christmas and Easter) at Church of the Saviour, Chell Heath. The lunch costs £3 per person and for this you get a choice of two main courses one of which is suitable for vegetarians, a choice of 1 hot or 1 cold dersert and tea or coffee. The lunch commences at 12.30 and finishes at approximately 1.45pm. Between the main course and desert there is a short talk from one of our Parish Ministry Team lasting for 10 minutes. You do not need to be a member of one of our Parish Churches to come, just a member of our community who wants the opportunity to meet, socialise and make new friends in a Christian environment. For further information or to book your place contact Yvonne Briggs on 07904 901 208 or Andy Franklin on 07835 675 971
Every last Tuesday at 12:30 PM for 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Saturday

Christian Youth Group
Are you concerned about one of your family's or neighbours children hanging around on street corners, potentially in bad company and possibly looking for trouble of some description? Then why don’t you encourage them to join with other youngsters at St. Michael’s Chell for an evening of acceptable Christian fun? As a church run group the evening will obviously include some prayer, Christian conversation (individual and group) and Christian based activities but it will also include games projects and other youth activities appropriate to the development of a Christian teenager in today’s society.
Every first and third Saturday at 6:00 PM

All Age Service
Truly for the whole family, our All Age Service is especially prepared for kids of all ages from those who are just starting to understand to those who are getting to long in the tooth to understand much at all. The service contains some really modern songs to good old traditional heart thumping hymns and the sermon is light with some funny bits, the vicar’s jokes and some serious teaching presented in a light hearted manner. If you have never set foot in a church before then this would be a good place to start and if you have been coming for ever you will still find plenty to enjoy in this service. Although we welcome babies in this service there are crèche facilities if your baby is making you feel embarrassed. Refreshments are served after the service and there is time for you to get to know some of our regulars.
