St. Mary’s Chiddingstone, together with St. Luke’s Chiddingstone Causeway, has a very lively and active congregation. The church is popular with young families and there are services every Sunday, with a variety of different services held throughout the month. The churches have a Sunday School, Youth Club and Sunday evening Youth Group.
The beautiful church of St. Mary’s is situated in the historic village of Chiddingstone, most of which is owned by the National Trust. The earliest record of a church in Chiddingstone dates back to 1120, and the oldest parts of the existing church were built in the 13th century. The nave was re-built early in the 17th century after it was struck by lightening.
