There are two Anglican (Church of England) Churches in the parish of Chidham. The old church, which is situated on the peninsula, is in Cot Lane and dates back to the 13th century, and is dedicated to St. Mary. It is a Church well worth visiting and it shows that we are very much alive in the 21st century.

The second church, which is dedicated to St Wilfrid, is situated in Broad Road just north of the A259.
