St James welcomes you to any of our Services. Christleton means 'the place of the Christians' and people have worshipped here for over 1,000 years. The present church was built in 1869 and is the only church designed by Butterfield in the Chester diocese. The tower dates back over 600 years.
The busy church serves the whole parish which includes the villages of: Littleton, Rowton, Cotton Edmunds and Cotton Abbotts as well as Christleton itself. The parish has a local 'Churches Together' partnership with the Methodist Church in Christleton, and St Werburghs Roman Catholic congregation in Rowton.
Service styles are varied, sometimes more traditional, sometimes more informal, but always friendly and welcoming. Children are always welcomed.
