Ride and Stride ended up being scheduled on the hottest day of the year, which sadly put many participants off. But not St Geoge's xxxxxxxx , who participates every year and would not be put off by extreme temperatures! This year she was joined by our Churchwarden Sarah Martin, who can't walk very far and can't cycle so she jumped at the Welcomer category and sat in a cool church from 9 - 5pm. Well somebody had to do it and thereby increased the sponsorship which totalled £388!  That figure will be shared between R&S and St George's for which we are most appreciative. Thanks to all our sponsors. Next year we hope to add a running group to the endeavour! Watch this space!
