During the weekend of 11th and 12th May, St. Lawrence’s Church will be holding a flower festival with flowers, music and refreshments in church. The hope is that it will be a community event to be enjoyed by churchgoers and non-churchgoers alike. The flower arrangers of the church will be contributing arrangements and we have also invited local village organisations to add their own arrangements along with information about themselves if they wish. There will be a display board about how and why we are continuing to encourage biodiversity in our churchyard where visitors are welcome to wander. Drinks, sandwiches, scones and cakes will be on offer and there will be background music including live music from local musicians on organ, harp, strings, and brass. The church will be open between 10am and 4:30pm both days with a pause for our usual Sunday service between 11:15 and 12:15 on the Sunday morning to which all are welcome.
