Richard Davies of Driffield has concluded his year as Master of the Worshipful Company of Farmers in the City of London.  Our local Vicar - The Reverend Canon John Swanton served as Master's Chaplain for the year.  On Tuesday 10th October 2023 they attended the annual Harvest Service at St Bartholomew the Great, Smithfield, where John preached a sermon for the Livery Company.

The Company promotes farming and agriculture across the country and within the City of London.  It runs training courses and supports young people in the farming communities with bursaries and opportunities to learn and discover more about innovations in farming.  They sponsor a Nuffield Scholarship and nurture young talent.

The post of Master is held for one year.  The Master chairs the Livery Court Meetings and represents the Company at a wide range of events and occasions.
