Worship has been temporarily paused at St Faith’s

PARISH OF BRENTFORD UPDATE

After over a year of prayer and reflection, the PCC of the Parish of Brentford has taken the difficult decision to pause Sunday worship at St Faith’s Brentford, as from January 23rd 2022, and for the church family at St Faith’s to join with the church family at St Paul’s, Brentford at a new time of 10.30am.

This has been a very painful decision for the St Faith’s family, and we know it will be for the wider community as well. It has not been taken lightly or quickly but because we believe that this period of pause is necessary to help form a new vision for the Church at St Faith’s, that will enable it to best flourish and serve the community that surrounds it.

St Faith’s is not closed and will still be available for funerals, weddings, and regular prayer, and is being used to host the work of other community organisations.

We’d love you to join us at St Paul’s from the 23rd January 2022. There are two Sunday services at St Paul’s:

An 8.30am said service of Holy Communion according to the Book of Common Prayer.A 10.30am family service with Sunday school groups, creche and refreshments. Communion will be fortnightly. We will also have a mid-week Communion service on Wednesdays at 10am.

We are confident that merging our congregations and worshipping as one church family here in Brentford is what God is calling us to do in this season. We feel this will enable us to take the space to prayerfully discern our next steps, with the aim of returning to St Faith’s with a fresh vision.
