Exciting New ‘Welcome ‘ Project

New Exciting New from St. Patrick’s PCC

‘The Welcome Project’

St. Patrick’s is a wonderfully friendly, loving and kind church. Everyone we speak to seems to comment on how welcoming we are as a church and so we would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all who make that special effort to make everyone who enters the church to feel welcome , loved and valued. As we journey forward into 2024 we want to make St. Patrick’s church even more welcoming, not only on a spiritual level but also on a very practical level; with this in mind the PCC have been working very hard behind the scenes with our wonderful church Architect to explore how we can make the church more accessible and fully inclusive to everyone. We have discovered that without changing the beautiful architecture and style of the church this will be possible . Of course it is early days and much has to be agreed and approved by the Church of England faculty department. We have named the project the ‘Welcome ‘ Project because we want everyone to feel welcome. It will also mean slightly modifying some of the church pews and making them more comfortable with beautiful new pew cushions.

This is a very exciting project and we feel confident that everyone, from our very young church members to our more elderly church family members, will greatly benefit from. Of course this project comes with a certain financial cost but we believe, as a Parochial Church Council , that it will significantly improve the church and help us to grow both spiritual and in numbers- after all it doesn’t matter how welcoming we are we if physically we cannot get in. We will, in the new year , be presenting the Welcome Project in much more detail with estimated time scales , however, if you feel that you would like to make a Christmas a financial gift, ( either now or in the future) pledge or perhaps even consider praying about making a promise in your Last Will and Testimony you can be assured that it would be gratefully received and you would then become part of growing God’s Kingdom here on earth, helping people to come to church, come to faith and be part of and be able to remain part of our wonderful Christian family . All gifts will be gratefully received . Please contact our Church Office [email protected] or speak to our Church Warden or [email protected] for details of how to donate.

Parish Giving Scheme :

For those wishing to offer their weekly/ monthly gifts via bank transfer please follow the link below .

We are all aware, I am sure , that our church and churchyard are kept to the highest standard and we endeavour to keep the church warm for all our church family and friends. This does , of course , come at a very high financial cost .

The parish giving schemes ensures that all monetary donations are gift aided and allows us , as as church , to plan our budgets accordingly.

‘ Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver’ 2 Corinthians 9:7

Many thanks for your continued support and generosity.

Every blessing

Rev’d Dee Jones , Russell Moore & our Parochial Church Council .

Blessings Dee 🙏

The best to give is through the parish giving scheme, as it sets up regular giving and automatically claims the gift aid on donations.
