It is with great sadness that we received the news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 8 September 2022. We extend our deepest sympathies to the Royal Family and will hold them and our new King, Charles III in our prayers.

A special Commemoration Service will be held at 3pm on Saturday 10.9.22, in All Saints Church, Writtle for the villages of Writtle, Highwood and Roxwell.

A Book of Condolences will be in All Saints Church as soon as possible for anyone who would like to sign it.

Bells will be rung in accordance with national protocols and timings throughout the period of mourning until Her Late Majesty’s funeral.

The Church will be open each day from 9am – 7pm for anyone to spend time in quiet reflection.
