Every year (with a break over Covid) Flamstead holds a Scarecrow Festival to raise funds for the repair and maintenance of its medieval church and also for local charities.
Each year, flocks of visitors enjoy strolling around, spotting scarecrows, a rest and a cuppa...and often a calming few minutes in the quiet of the church, where a fascinating history awaits them.
