80th Anniversary of DDay at Kingswear ChurchWith the River Dart playing a crucial role in the preparations for DDay, the church will be the centre of the village's commemoration on Thursday 6th June. A Town Crier will read a DDay 80 Proclamation outside the church at 6.45pm. Then Revd Chris Malkinson will lead a special service of Thanksgiving and Remembrance followed by refreshments and a small display of photos and eye witness accounts from Kingswear and Dartmouth 80 years ago. At 9.15pm a beacon will be lit in the church memorial Garden. All welcome.
