Alvescot Village Hall is the venue for our community lunchtime get-together. Although it feels like Spring is just around the corner, we wanted to take the opportunity to introduce our Winter Warmer sessions, which we hope to run monthly from October 2024. An opportunity to catch up with neighbours, enjoy free refreshments (hot drinks, soup&roll, cakes) and share company and conversation in our cosy hall. If you’d like to see some friendly faces, take a break from home working, get out of the house with the children, or enjoy a game with friends, we will have daily newspapers, playing cards, puzzle books, and dominoes as well as a selection of children’s toys. All welcome - and all free of charge. Our sincere thanks to Alvescot Charities and Alvescot Village Hall Committee for their kind and generous support for our inaugural session.
If you’ve been before you’ll know what great fun it is, if not please come with friends, neighbours and family to find out. It’s good company on a dark winter’s night. All are welcome. A hot main course and dessert will be included for £12 per person. There will be a pay bar. There will be a wide range of questions, something for everyone – all linked in some way to colour. To book a table or buy tickets (only available in advance) or if you would like more information please contact Jayne:info@burford-woodcraft.co.uk 01993 842435Proceeds to St Peter's Church Restoration Fund.
