St Mary Magdalen Church, Coldean was a Sussex barn built around 1780, which was converted into a church in 1955 to meet the needs of the growing housing estate around it. It is the only church in Coldean. The Eucharist is celebrated every Sunday at 9.30am. There is a Sunday Club for our younger members which meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. Our hymn choice is varied, with an even mix of traditional and modern church music. We consider ourselves to be a friendly church family, and everyone is warmly welcomed to join us.
We also have well maintained a church hall with disabled access and toilet, kitchen and garden. This is available for hire at £16.50 per hour. There is a car park and ample on street (free) parking. It is available for regular or one-off lets. Please email fro more details.

Sunday
Sunday Club meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. They meet at 9.20am in church and at the beginning of the service, they go into the church hall for stories, crafts, games and activities.
Every second and fourth Sunday at 9:20 AM for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Each Sunday, we gather together for the Eucharist - our main act of worship. We use Common Worship order one, and have a variety of modern and traditional church music. Everyone is welcome.

Wednesday
Can't come to church on a Sunday morning? We also have a Eucharist at 9.30am MOST Wednesday's in the side chapel (entrance in Selham Drive) Please phone 01273 601 854 to check.
Every Wednesday at 9:30 AM for ½ hour
Saturday
Do you care about the needs of others and the world around us? Want to share it with God in prayer? Why not come along to our monthly prayer group. Everyone is welcome. It meets on the 1st Saturday of every month in the side chapel (entrance in Selham Drive). Followed by refreshments.
NB: Aprils prayer group will meet a week earlier on 26th March and not the 2nd April. every first Saturday at 10:30 AM for 1 hour
On the 2nd Saturday of every month there is a Kidz Disco in the church hall (next to the church) for Primary school children. It meets between 10.30am and 12 noon for fun, stories, games.....and lots and lots of dancing! Why not come in fancy dress? Cost £1. Children must be accompanied by an adult - fancy dress and dancing optional!
In April, the Kidz Disco will meet on 18th and not the 11th. every second Saturday at 10:30 AM for 1½ hours
