Cropredy: St Mary the Virgin

The Church of St Mary the Virgin is a magnificent, mainly 14C, church, which lies at the heart of the village of Cropredy. The church has a fine pre-Reformation lectern, a Doom painting of national significance, beautiful stained glass, and a lady chapel dedicated to St. Fremund, our Saxon saint whose chantry chapel once stood on the site. A short service of Morning Prayer starting at 9.00 is held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays within the Benefice by rotation at each church except Cropredy:
Monday at Great Bourton, All Saints;
Tuesday at Claydon, St James the Great;
Wednesday - No Morning Prayer Service;
Thursday at Mollington, All Saints;
Friday at Wardington, St Mary Magdalene.
Following Morning Prayer, Revd Sarah will be available from 9.30 am to 10.30 am for meeting or visiting parishioners.
