This list includes services, meetings and events which are not in the regular programme.

Sat 7 January Probably 3 to 5pm but time to be confirmed: SE district of Suffolk Guild of Ringers is holding a district practice at Debenham
Tue 10 January Extra Diocesan Synod
Sat 14 January Soup Lunch, 12am-2pm in Dove Cottage, Debenham. Choice of homemade soup and bread roll; dessert; tea, coffee; raffle. Price £5, all proceeds to St Mary’s church funds.

Fri 20 January Evening bellringing at Helmingham
Fri 20 January 7.30 for 8pm, Winston Schoolroom: "Tribes and Tribulations: Can there be a just peace for northern Ghana?" Speaker: Paul Rose. 7.30/8pm at Winston Schoolroom (next to Winston Church, just before the church on the right). Refreshments available before the meeting. Donations towards expenses welcomed. A talk and discussion evening for the seven parishes in the Debenham and Helmingham Benefice. All are welcome.

Sun 26 February Lent Group in Dove Cottage, Sunday evenings at 7.30pm from 26th February.
Mon 27 February Lent Group in Moores Close, five Monday evenings at 7.30pm from 27th February.

Fri 2 March Women's World Day of Prayer: Service 2pm at URC. Prepared by the Christian women of Malaysia. Speaker Mrs Sarah Hughes.
Mon 5 March Helmingham annual church meeting
Tue 6 March A visiting band will be ringing at Debenham from 10 to 11am on Tuesday 6th March.

Fri 16 March The Annual Winston Quiz in the schoolroom, 7pm. Tables of 4 at £4 per person. Contact Sandra 01728 860040 or Louise 861457.

Thu 29 March SHARING YOUR AMBITIONS, A vision for church buildings: a learning day at the St Nicholas Centre in Ipswich.  For clergy and wardens. This promises to be an interesting and stimulating event with a chance to hear nationally renowned speakers offer best practice on sharing church buildings with visitors and the local community. Delegates will be able to hear first hand what is happening elsewhere as well as sharing their own experiences. Booking is essential and demand is likely to be heavy so please secure your place as soon as possible by completing the form in the brochure and returning it with a cheque for £10 per person to Charlotte Hodgson at the Diocesan Office.
Fri 30 March 7.30 for 8pm, Winston Schoolroom "Enlightened Self-interest or the survival of the fittest; where has modern capitalism gone wrong?" Sat 31 March Lenten Meditation: a Preparation for Holy Week.
A morning at Sycamore Farm in Kenton where we will have time both to learn a little of meditation from Christian and other faiths, and to spend time preparing for the events that we will be thinking about in the following week. (An indication of numbers would be helpful, to the Ministry Team).

2.45pm: Entry with pudding £3. Best pudding wins a prize!
3.00pm: Entry for everyone else £5 (Children free)
Eat as many puddings as you can manage and vote for your favourite! Refreshments included and there will be a raffle. Proceeds to St Mary’s Church, Framsden

Sat 5 May Debenham: there will be a peal attempt by a visiting band in the morning.
13-19 May Christian Aid Week, 13-19 May. A Charity Shop wil open in Dove Cottage.
Sun 20 May Crow's Hall Country Fayre, 1-6pm. In aid of all seven parish churches in the Benefice and the Riding for the Disabled Association.
Crow’s Hall, near Debenham (www.crows-hall.com) is the lovely venue. Admission by programme, adults £2, under 16 free (Garden £1 extra). Prices unchanged from last year! See http://crowshallfayre.onesuffolk.net/ for more details including Competition schedules and entry forms when available.

Sun 3 June Pettaugh: Village Celebration on Church Meadow (marquee). There may be a concert on either the Saturday or Monday.

Fri 22 to Sun 24 June 36th Annual Art Exhibition and Sale in St Mary's Church, Debenham.
Friday 22 and Saturday 23 June: 10.30 am - 8.00 pm, Sunday 24 June: 12.00 noon - 5.15 pm. Over 400 paintings and drawings by local artists at reasonable prices, proceeds for Church Restoration. Light Refreshments Available.
